It is believed that when Jesus returns, He will go to Israel.
When Jesus returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected. Together, with the righteous living, they will be glorified and taken to heaven. The unrighteous will die. When Jesus returns for His second coming He will not stay here for years. This time He will only come back to take His chosen people back to Heaven with Him to meet our father and creator, God.
God won’t choose everyone on earth to spend eternity with Him. Only those with the purest of hearts will make it to Heaven. If we want God to choose us, we must give our lives to Him. We must be of good character and we must live a holy life. Sinners will be condemned and will be casted away to hell where they will spend their eternity. So repent of all your sins and turn your life around while you are alive and still have time. There is no forgiveness for the dead.
Let us consider a different perspective. Jesus may or may not return before the world ends. The Bible tells us this about Jesus’ return.
“Behold, I am coming like a thief Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed”
Revelation 16:15
No one knows the exact date Jesus will come again. Let’s just say Jesus comes back before the world ends. There are over 200 counties on earth.
If Jesus returns to one specific country, how will He gather every one on earth together?
How will Jesus gather the dead and the living. Is He going to send us all a plane ticket and an email saying “Hey! I am Jesus. It is urgent that you meet me in Jerusalem”? Sure, He is Jesus and He can do all things. With Him anything is possible; however, I honestly do not think that this is the way it will be.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Revelation 20:13
Here is a theory on where Jesus will be during His second coming.
Please read this carefully. On the day of Jesus’ second coming, every one of us, dead or alive, will stand before Him in judgment at the gates of heaven. There, God will judge us according to His will and according to the kind of life we lived. His judgement will be made based to the path we walked, the god we served, and several other lifestyle choices. He will allow some to enter based on His judgment. The rest will be condemned and be sent to hell.
At that same gate, there will be a great separation of families. Husbands will separate from wives, sons, and daughters, Children will separate from their parents. The rich individuals will be separate from their wealth. All will gather for God’s judgement according to our works. Non-believers and sinners will be condemned and sent to hell.

Many Christians believe when Jesus comes, we will all meet Him in the air.
Both the living and the dead will meet Jesus in the air. Christians also believe that Jesus has fulfilled his purpose on earth. He came to save us from our sins by dying on Calvary’s cross for us all. The Bible said in John 14:3 ”And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” There is no logical reason for Jesus to set His feet on this sinful earth anymore. This earth is going to be destroyed with all of the wicked and evil people in it. The ones who accepted God as their Lord and Saviour will not be history. These people will be taken up to meet him in the air. They will continue to live for eternally.
Please live your life with holiness. Accept God and repent of your sins. No one wants to be left behind. God wants to take you with Him, but first, you have to accept Him. There is only one God and He is our Lord and Creator in Heaven. There are only two places you will be able to go when God passes His judgement: Heaven and hell. Where do you plan on spending your eternity? You won’t have a choice after the point of death. Your fate depends on the choices you make today. As for me and my household, we choose Heaven. We choose the place where there will be no more suffering and only everlasting life.
Romans 10:13 – Whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
