Not every talent is a calling. Just because you are good at something does not mean it is your calling.
In the sight of God, we are all made perfect by His healing hands. God’s grace and mercies are given to each one of us in His own unique way. The most beautiful part of God’s mercies is that we were all given different talents. We all have our own calling from God. This means that God wants us to use His gifts for us for His will. Not everyone is called to be doctors, lawyer, or pastors; however, just because you are not called for a certain purpose does not mean that you have no value. You must understand that God’s plan for you is different. To Him, it is valuable. If God considered you valuable, then who has the right to judge you.
What is important to know is that not every talent is a calling.
People often get these two things mixed.
If you’ve read some of our other articles, you will know that we make our articles informative yet simple. Some might view this as a talent, while others view it as a calling. Everyone has a talent. Some people think that they have no talent but this is not true. God did not create anyone to be talentless. Take a look at your life to see the unique things that you alone can do. Even the simple ability to make people laugh is a talent. Anything you are good at is a talent. You should not put your self down in any way. Remember that you are your biggest cheerleader. Just because you are not famous doesn’t mean your talent has no value.
Your calling in ministry can only come from God.
Just because someone tells you that you should preach does not mean that you are called by God to be a pastor. Your calling should be something that glorifies God. Your calling should win souls for God. A calling will change the lives of others and touch their hearts. When God calls you to work for Him, you will know. God will equip you with every source, tool and instrument that you will need to win soul for Him. You will start to see a difference in how people act and react to you whenever you start to perform within your calling.
When you are called by God, the anointing will always be with you. Not all pastors are called by God and not all worship leaders are called by God. You may not believe this but not everyone involved in God’s ministry was called by Him. Some people love to preach but they are not called by God. There are lots of people in the church today that lead worship and they were are not called by God.

Some people think that their job is a calling.
No, it is not. Your job is something that you have to do to live. This is not a calling. Perhaps you are good at your job. This may make your job a talent. As mentioned earlier, not all callings are talents. God gifts all His children with talents, but He won’t always make your talent your calling.
The Bible tells us that “For many are called, but few are chosen” (Mathew 22:14). Man will encourage you do to things in the church; however, if you were not chosen by God, your efforts may always seem short. When you are called by God in the ministry, He will direct people to pay attention to you.
If God calls you to His ministry, the Holy Spirit will always be in the midst.
Whether it is singing, praying, teaching, counselling, preaching, or playing music, even the littlest efforts can bring anointing. On the other hand, if you are utilizing your talents in the church to satisfy the flesh, you won’t feel fulfilled. Your calling in His ministry will never cease to touch hearts and bless souls. When you are called in ministry, God’s blessing will flow through you for years. If you are called to be a prayer warrior by God, for example, then He will use your prayers to perform miracles. If you are a pastor and your congregation is not being spiritually nourished, then preaching is not called by God.

The list below contains a list of the purposes of roles within God’s ministry that He wants those who are called to fulfill.
- Pastors: If you are called, your congregation will be blessed and gain spiritual nourishment. They will always grow with God.
- Singer and worship leaders: Those who God calls will bless souls. The Holy Spirit will never cease to enter the church when you open your mouth and sing for Him.
- Teachers: If this is your calling, every student you teach will learn and be spiritually motivated.
- Prayer warriors: Those who are called will make miracles happen when they pray in the name of Jesus. You will not even have to lay hands on a person to make a miracle happen.
- Councillors: If God calls you, you will make a life-changing impact in the lives of others. You will help them overcome all obstacle regardless of the situation they are going through. Through you, God’s plan will be fulfilled.
These are just a few callings in God’s ministry.
If your are in ministry and you realize that you are not blessing souls the way that you should be then you are not called by God in be in this particular ministry. If God calls to do His work, the result will always be according to his plan and nothing less. God himself will oversee you and make sure that the outcome is what He wants. Remember, not every talent is a calling by God in ministry. When God calls and chooses you to be in His ministry, your abilities to win souls will be unstoppable.
If you want to work for the Lord, let Jesus lead you. He will appoint you to the calling in His ministry that suits you be. When God calls you, nobody will be able to fulfill that role better than you. When God calls you, you will win souls because God placed you in that role to do exactly as He wants you to do
