We are living in an era where we prioritize pleasure over purpose. Material things rather than quality character. The needs of ourselves rather than the needs of others. While living in this “get mine” mentality, we lose sight of the glory of God. Make no mistake, seeds of sinful thought are an act of warfare from Satan. The only way to get it out: the armour of God.
God has given us the tools we need to fight all of our battles, defeat sin and grow as humans. The Bible is timeless and contains scriptures to help us overcome the same struggles that Jesus went through. Sin is not a joke. It has the power to bind us to an eternity of pain and suffering. These Scripture verses are powerful tools we can use to help us overcome the challenges in our lives that are keeping us from finding the peace and joy that comes with salvation.
Lust

But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Matthew 5:28
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-22
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
