We are equipped with the tools to overcome the coronavirus.
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic announcement, maintaining your health and safety is a priority for people around the world. Everyone is taking extra precautions to protect themselves, from stocking up on food and resources, to completely isolating themselves. Even those who are perfectly healthy are participating in excessive health rituals.
What is important to know in this situation is that you are also not in control. Having fear over the coronavirus will not keep you from getting infected. In times like these, it is best to have confidence and faith. Know that you are not alone and that someone who loves you deeply is caring for you right now.
Here are scriptures that may help you through the coronavirus pandemic.
Psalm 91:10-12 (King James Version [KJV])
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Ezekiel 6:11-12 (NIV)
11 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Strike your hands together and stamp your feet and cry out “Alas!” because of all the wicked and detestable practices of the people of Israel, for they will fall by the sword, famine and plague. 12 One who is far away will die of the plague, and one who is near will fall by the sword, and anyone who survives and is spared will die of famine. So will I pour out my wrath on them.
2 Chronicle 20:9 (NIV)
9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
Say this prayer with us:
Coronavirus has no dominance over me and the blood of Jesus prevails. I am a soldier in the army of God, and as I put on the full armour of God I declare protection and healing over myself.
Coronavirus, I call you out by name. I clap my hands in victory over you. I stomp my feet in victory over you. No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper in the mighty name of Jesus. God told me that I will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and I shall fear no evil. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
Coronavirus I command you in the mighty name of Jesus to be still. Pick up your weapon and go back where you came from, for God has given me all the authority to defeat you. Amen.
